Intervention

The Family Meeting

As a seasoned interventionist and recovery coach, I understand the importance of the family meeting or intervention in guiding individuals towards rehabilitation. This pivotal moment involves the addict, alongside concerned family members and friends, gathering to encourage or direct the individual towards seeking help. Often, families feel powerless in the face of addiction, but through intervention, they can leverage their influence to motivate change.

During the intervention process, I work closely with families to address their concerns and educate them about enabling behaviors and co-dependency. Together, we develop an effective family team aimed at helping the addict understand the seriousness of their situation and guiding them towards seeking help.

What Happens After?

Once the addict enters a treatment program, the journey towards recovery truly begins. From detox to the educational phase, individuals learn about addiction, relapse prevention, and receive assessments for any co-occurring disorders. Simultaneously, families engage in their own recovery process, learning about their roles within the family system, establishing healthy boundaries, and identifying their own triggers and coping mechanisms.

Our Intervention service is designed to be a loving process that facilitates healing for families impacted by addiction. As your interventionist, I am committed to working with your family to develop a comprehensive continued care plan that lasts a minimum of one year, recognizing that addiction requires a long-term solution.
